Events and Activities : Windsor Manor plans National Dog day event, photo contest

On National Dog Day, next Wednesday, Aug. 26, Windsor Manor employees and residents will celebrate with a foot-long hot dog dinner. The facility's managers also invite area residents to enter a picture of their dog in a "cutest dog" photo contest.

Staff will be serving foot-long hot dogs with all the fixins’, chips, fruit, drinks and of course, dessert. Submit a photo of your dog and an essay telling why you have the best dog for a chance to win $100. The winner will be announced at the cookout. Submit photo and essay no later than Monday, Aug. 24.

The event is free and open public. Serving takes place from 4-6 p.m.
