Events and Activities : Friends of 4-H plan first pie auction

The Benton County Extension Council is pleased to announce the formation of a new committee. The BCIA (Benton County Iowa) FRIENDS OF 4-H fundraising committee. The purpose of this committee is to raise funds to provide financial support for Benton County 4-H members to participate in county, state and national events. Some events include: 4-H Junior Camp, State Legislative Trip, Intermediate Trip, 4-H State Conference, Citizenship Washington D.C. Focus. The BCIA Friends of 4-H first fundraising events will take place at the 2015 Benton County Fair. During the livestock shows and Share the Fun there will be Fruit, Berry and Nut Pies up for sale in an old fashioned Pie Auction. Please take this opportunity to support Benton County 4-Hers by purchasing a pie. Donations may also be sent or dropped off at the Benton County Extension Office 501 1st Ave. Vinton, IA 52349. Make check payable to Benton County Extension, Friends of 4-H on the memo line.
