Events and Activities : Benton County Conservation canoe float set for Aug. 1

The Benton County Conservation Board invites river enthusiasts to a Cedar River Canoe Float from the Mt. Auburn boat ramp to the Dudgeon boat ramp on Saturday, Aug. 1. The ride begins at 9 a.m. and will take until approximately 5 p.m.

Enjoy a leisurely float down the scenic Cedar River while observing local plants and animals. You will have time to do some beach-combing and then fix a simple lunch on a sandbar. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage. Registration fee $10/person (includes lunch). To register please call 319-472-4942.
