Events and Activities : Middle School Choirs to Present March Concert Tuesday

The Vinton-Shellsburg Grade Middle School Choirs will present a March Concert on Tuesday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The varied concert program will include a sea chantey, folk songs from America, Jamaica and Scotland, a nonsense song and a gospel song. Eighth grade chorus students that participated in the East Central Iowa Choral Director’s Association Honor Choir in February will be highlighted in the concert. Rounding out the program will be middle school soloists Luke Owens and Lauren Murphy, high school student Alyssa Hanson presenting her senior vocal festival solos and an encore number from the Middle School Spring Play. The concert is free of charge and open to the general public.
