Events and Activities : VPRD invites bowlers to 9-pin adult tournament

The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department is once again excited about hosting another 9 Pin Adult Bowling Tournament at the great Berry’s Lanes. This Saturday, February 15th will be the annual event that not only is a lot of fun, but also helps raise some funds for capital improvements to our community parks. The bowling will start at 2:00 p.m. and your $20.00 entry fee includes three games of bowling, shoe rental, flight prizes and a donation to the VPRD Park Capital Fund.

This 9 Pin tournament is for all bowlers of all levels. There is no handicap needed because the tournament is flighted similar to golf tournaments based on your scratch scores. This allows bowlers of all abilities to have a chance to win some prize money regardless of how high or low your three games total.

There is a limit of 56 bowlers for this event, so make sure you call Berry’s Lanes at 472-3757 to register yourself or up to four on a lane. If you have any questions, contact the VPRD office at 472-4164.
