Events and Activities : VS bowling 9-pin fund-raiser set for Nov. 16

The VS bowling team plans a 9-pin fund-raiser this Saturday, Nov. 16, at Berry's Lanes. Details: 9 Pin Bowling Tournament on November 16th to fundraise for the V-S High School Bowling team. Two Sessions being held: 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm Entry Fee is $10.00 for three games ($6.00 bowling fee included) Trophies being awarded for top three places for two groups:

• 12 and under
• 13 and older (Adults included)

The bowling tournament is fun for the whole family. Grab some friends and come out to support the V-S Bowling team. Silent Auction is also being held from donated items from individuals/businesses in our community. All Silent Auction items are on display at Berry's Lanes this week. We are accepting bids on these items all week with the bids closing at 6:30 pm on Saturday, Nov. 16th. All items will be awarded at 6:30 pm to the highest bidder. You do not need to be present to win the silent auction items. Items included in the silent auction included:

• Handmade Oak Table
• 3 - Coolers with multiple items included. (Gift certificates, bowling supplies, candy, pop, palace bucks, IA Hawkeye hat)
• Lia Sophia - Necklace, bracelet and $100 credit if you schedule a Lia Sophia party
• $25.00 Gift certificate - L Marie
• $25.00 Gift certificate - Silpada Jewelry
• $50.00 Gift certificate - Pro Bowling Concepts, Cedar Rapids
• 31 Bag: Fold and Go Bag
• 31 Bag: Organizing Utility Tote
• Scentsy basket
• 2 - 1 hour massages at Betterton Chiropractic
• Relaxation package from Rex Christy Chiropractic & Wellness Center (Includes: Massage, pillow, water bottle, and ice pack.)
• Surprise package from Tharp Design
• Other items donated this week.

All proceeds from the fundraiser are going to the V-S High School Bowling Team. We are still accepting monetary donations as well as donations for the silent auction. Any donations can be dropped by Berry's Lanes. We hope to see you at Berry's Lanes at 2:00 or 5:00 to join in the fun!! If you can't make it in to bowl with us on Saturday, please stop in at Berry's Lanes this week and place a bid on the silent auction items. We would like to thank everyone in our community for supporting the V-S High School Bowling Team. The students are excited about starting practice this week and are looking forward to their first bowling season.
