Events and Activities : VS public speaking class invites public to library presentations

Vinton-Shellsburg's Public Speaking class will be presenting their Persuasive Speeches at the Vinton Public Library on November 8th and 11th from 2:20 p.m. to 3 p.m. These presentations will take place in the downstairs young adult reading section.

The Public is invited to attend these public presentations and learn about the many topics of interest to the students and the community. Topics include: Accepting the realities of moving to the country, Recycling, Reforming the Educational Environment in our schools, The Alternative School, The Pit Bull Ban, Support Improvements to the 2nd Ave Brick Street and Supporting the Animal Learning Lab at the High School.

The Vinton Public Library gives students a unique opportunity to practice speaking in a diverse setting as well as giving the public an opportunity to see the work being done in our school buildings.
