Events and Activities : Red Cedar Chapter of Izaak Walton League plans banquet, Oct. 26

It’s banquet time again!

The 9th annual fundraising banquet of the Izaak Walton League’s Red Cedar Chapter will be at the Vinton Country Club, 314 N 9th Avenue, Vinton, Iowa on Saturday, October 26. Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 7. Ticket price this year are $30.

The profits from this annual fund raising banquet are used exclusively within Benton County for projects and activities in the areas of conservation, outdoor ethics, education, outdoor recreational safety and natural resource appreciation. Past profits have supported: Old Creamery Nature Trail, Belle Plaine Prairie Restoration, Vinton-Shellsburg H.S. Trap Shooting Team, Benton County Conservation Board, Scholarships, Tilford Outdoor Classroom, Hunter Safety Programs, and Cedar River clean ups to name a few.

It is going to be a special evening complete with firearms, archery, fishing, hunting, outdoor activity equipment and many other goods and services available in silent auctions, games, raffles, live auctions, and a little different format to make the night more enjoyable. Specially priced raffle tickets will be available at the banquet. Great food and great fun with all profits dedicated to use in Benton County.

Early Bird Special

GUN DRAWING: Each Dinner ticket purchased before October 1st will be entered in a drawing.

RAFFLE TICKETS: This year we are trying something new by offering the $100 ticket package for 200 PRE- NUMBERED tickets. Yes you will finally be able to relax when you arrive at the banquet. In order to get this I will need your money by October 1st. Order on back of form.

Limited Tickets – How to Order

This year, tickets are limited to 150. These will be sold in advance only, on a first come, first served basis. When the 150 tickets are sold, there will be no further opportunity to attend the banquet. There will be no ticket sales at the door. The back of this sheet is an order form for your tickets. When ordering, please complete all the information and send the form with a check to chapter treasurer, Tom Stueck. Your tickets will be waiting for you at the banquet door. No unpaid tickets or seating will be held for later pick up.
