Events and Activities : GARRISON EMERGENCY SERVICES TO HAVE BARBEQUE/DANCE/CAR CRUISE JULY 10

The Garrison Fire Department will be having its annual barbeque, dance and car cruise on Saturday, July 10. This event is also the community’s annual celebration.

The dance and barbeque will be held at the Hitchin Post under a big-top tent. So rain or shine, all festivities will go on. The pork barbeque begins at 5:30 p.m. The dance follows from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, with music provided by the live band “Silver Wood.”

The classic car cruise begins in the afternoon when cars begin arriving in town around 2:00 in the afternoon. The cruise itself takes place at 5:00 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for the hog roast and dance, $5 for the dance only and cruise registration is $10. For more information on the car cruise contact Steve Ary at 477-8148.

The Garrison First Responders and Emergency Services Auxiliary also assist with the event. All proceeds are used for improvements to the Garrison Emergency Services.
