Tour De Lites: Yessak continues winning local 5K races

Three Tour De Lites participants pose for a seflie before the race in their holiday running costumes. In his two-week break between his freshman cross country and track seasons at Wartburg College, Vinton native Jordan Yessak returned to his hometown to add to his list of local race wins.

BCHS selling depot prints by Hugh Mossman

The Benton County Historical Society is selling prints of a watercolor depicting the local depot that painted by Vinton native Hugh Mossman. He has kindly allowed the Benton County Historical Society to have prints made to be used as a fundraiser for the Vinton Depot roof.

Buddy Bench: Den 3 Scouts donate to Tilford

The members of Pack 47, Den 3 Cub Scouts shared a special gift with their classmates at Tilford Elementary on Tuesday: A Buddy Bench. Working with parents and Scout leaders, the youngsters helped assemble, sand and finish the bench, which soon will find its place near the Tilford playground.
