Pastor Mark and LuAnn Urlaub will host an eleven day tour in France September 4-14, 2013. Reservations are needed soon, and remaining space is very limited. The tour is provided by Group Travel Directors. Janet Tollund, a vice-president of the GTD, will accompany and guide the group. She has led many tours in France and studied there as well.
The tour will include a first stop in Paris and a city tour with visits to Notre Dame and the beautiful la Sainte Chapelle. The next day visit Monet’s Gardens and a Camembert cheese producer. The third day will feature a full day in the Normandy landing beaches area. Day four takes includes le Mont Saint Michel, a magnificent fortress and abbey and an omelet lunch. In the next days visit beautiful chateau in the Loire Valley, a mushroom farm cave, a winery, Chartres with its beautiful cathedral, and the Versailles palace. Finally, the tour returns to Paris for two full days and assent to the top of the Eiffel Tower, a guided tour of the Louvre, free time, and a cruise on the Seine River.
Airfare from Chicago, hotels, all ground transportation and admissions for things done with the group, breakfast daily, several dinners, and the omelet lunch are included.
This is the sixth tour the Urlaubs have hosted. They enjoy a cadre of previous tour participants as well as first timers. Some are experienced travelers who like the thoroughness of organized travel.
