The Keystone High School class of 1959 recently met for its annual class reunion. Following the 50 year reunion, the class decided to meet yearly. Three events culminated this year’s events, with a class banquet held in Cedar Rapids, at a local hotel. Other happenings included a ladies luncheon on Friday, a Mexican Fiesta Friday evening and a Saturday banquet. Class mates shared memories, family photos, and the usual moans and groans of the aging process. Those attending Saturday evening were back row l to r: Dennis Andresen, Dale Holst, Darold Sindt, Sharon Selk Gillespie, Patty Cantwell Cranston, Shirley Junge Peters, Rose Kopecky Roberts, Arlys Dvorak Moen, Dick Hupfeld, Al McIlrath, Mike Silhanek. Front Row l to r – Carol Scheel Dundee, Marge Hlas Sedlacek, Joyce Langlas, Mary Pickart Schallau, Connie Homire Rhodes,and Charlene Hennings Holst. Attending, but absent from the photo was Arlene Duchacek Ledger. Classmates attended from California, Massachusetts, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa communities of Coralville, LeClaire, Elberon, Belle Plaine, Keystone, Knoxville, and Cedar Rapids. Classmates absent were Dennis Scheel- Arkansas, Rene Raymon -Florida, Dale Kenner- Des Moines, Dick Junge-Michigan, Lanny Selk-Keystone, Marcia Buch Holst-Ames, Ann Neuchterlein Osslund-Holiday Lake, Dorothy Anders Zobel- Van Horne, and Phyllis Franzenburg Haack-Williamsburg,

Friday Ladies Luncheon featured a Christmas in July theme, with a gift exchange, door prize, and special individual gifts to classmates, handmade by Shirley Junge Peters, Mary Pickart Schallau and Joyce Langlas, following the theme.
