Et cetera : VFW Auxiliary announces Fair quilt winner, plans Jr. Auxiliary group

Smith-Geater VFW Ladies Auxiliary 8884 of Vinton would like to thank everyone that stopped by our booth. The winner of the Quilt was Kim Draker of Shellsburg. We will keep helping our VETERANS in our Community. We will live by our motto: "Honor The Dead by Helping The Living" We have many young Girls that stopped by our booth. we talked to them about starting a Jr VFW Ladies Auxiliary group up in Vinton. We had 18 girls interested. In August we will have an informational meeting;open house for the girls to come to so they can join us. If any other girls from ages 5-16 that has someone in your family has served overseas you can join us,too. The date for this event will be Saturday- August 23rd,2014 at The US Bank Community Building at 2PM. Any adult Ladies that would like to join our VFW Ladies Auxiliary and has a member of your family that has also served overseas you are Welcome.
