Keanu Harris, from Arvada, Colorado is the team leader for Maple 3 in AmeriCorps NCCC Class 20. He arrived in Vinton on January 9 to start his 11-month service working with a team of people between the ages of 18 and 24. Maple 3 is made up of nine people from across the country and they will serve together around the Midwest.

When asked why he decided to serve in the NCCC program, Keanu says, “I've spent years bettering myself in school, from high school through college, and I felt it was time to start bettering my community through service.”

Before Keanu became a NCCC service member he was finishing up his college degrees at Regis University and working full time as an Assistant Manager at Sportline of Arvada.
