Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.
Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3c or more.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, February 17th, will be Roast Turkey, Mashed Potato/Gravy, Broccoli, Mixed Green Salad, Blushing Pears, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.
On Monday, December 31st, the activity of the day was a Pepper Card Party. There were three tables of players. Lois Romman won 1st place with 292 points. Geri Shaffer won 2nd place with 281 points. LaVonne Henkle won 3rd place with 247 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Wednesday, January 2nd, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Geri Shaffer handpicked the games. Game one was a Plus Sign with June Salerno winning. Game two was a Flag with June Salerno winning. Game three was Stair Steps with June Salerno winning. Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with Geri Shaffer winning. Greta Geiken and Elsie Knaack won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, January 3rd, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Riggle/Roster Music.
On Friday, January 4th, there were 5 tables of 500 played. Bud Barr won 1st place with 3,020 points. Theresa Weiser won 2nd place with 2,670 points. LaVonne Henkle won 3rd place with 2,510 points. After the games, Meryl Roths brought treats to share for his 89th birthday. Other refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Monday, January 7th, there were 4 tables of Pepper Cards played. Frances Kelly won 1st place with 305 points. Geri Shaffer won 2nd place with 269 points. Darlene Warning and Esther Novotny tied for 3rd place with 267 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Tuesday, January 8th, we celebrated all the January birthdays. Those honored were Carol Sellers, Monica McKenna, Harold Cassens, Annie Hopken, Phil Borleske, Elsie Knaack, and Stanley Hepker. Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon musical entertainment.
On Wednesday, January 9th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Ruth Wieditz handpicked the games. Game one was Around the Free Space and Four Corners with Geri Shaffer winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Delane Kalina winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Delane Kalina winning. Game four was a Flag with Paul Fix and Greta Geiken winning. Ruth Wieditz and Hazel Eastwood both won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, January 10th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Game one was Frame the Card with Faye Goodell as the winner. Game two was Wild Number Three Bingos with George Eckhart as the winners. Game three was the Letter “W” with Faye Goodell, June Salerno, and Hazel Eastwood winning. Game four was a Check Mark with Faye Goodell winning. George Eckhart won game five with Blackout.
On Friday, January 11th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party with 4 tables of players. Bud Barr won 1st place with 2,700 points. Wilma Loutsch won 2nd place with 2,680 points. Hazel Eastwood won 3rd place with 2,670 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Wilma Loutsch brought a cake to share for her birthday. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
