Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.
Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, November 24th will be Baked Chicken, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Corn, Mandarin Oranges, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.
On Monday, October 21st, four tables of Pepper Cards were played. Leroy Weiser won 1st place with 251 points. Bill Milne won 2nd place with 223 points. Third place went to Bud Barr with 211 points. After the games, refreshments were served by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Tuesday, October 22nd, Hauser/O’Deen provided the afternoon musical entertainment.
On Wednesday, October 23rd, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller and Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “X” with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Greta Geiken winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Evelyn Greenwood and Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game four was Frame the Free Spot and Four Corners with Greta Geiken as the winner. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, October 24th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was Four Corners and Frame the Free Spot with Marion Isbell winning. Game two was Stair Steps with Geri Shaffer winning. Game three was a 9-Pack with Irene Geiger winning. Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with Greta Geiken as the winner. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.
On Friday, October 25th, games of 500 Cards were played. Leroy Weiser won 1st place with 4,230 points. Milo Cobb won 2nd place with 3,600 points. Merle Roths won 3rd place with 3,320 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Monday, October 28th, games of Pepper Cards were played. Patty McKenna won 1st place with 282 points. Bud Barr won 2nd place with 281 points. Bill Milne won 3rd place with 278 points. After the games, other refreshments were provided by card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Tuesday, October 29th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Linda Lough was the volunteer caller and handpicked the games. Game one was the Letters “B” and “O” with Jack Oliphant winning. Game two was Wild Number Baseball with Greta Geiken winning. Game three was a Happy Face with Geri Shaffer winning. Game four was a Check Mark with Elsie Knaack winning. Geri Shaffer won with a Blackout on game five.
On Wednesday, October 30th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Game one was a Top and Bottom Line with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game two was the Letter “L” with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Greta Geiken as the winner. Game four was a Slant Seven with Greta Geiken as the winner. Mae Wilhelmi won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, October 31st, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Elsie Knaack handpicked the games. Game one was Frame the Card with Geri Shaffer winning. Game two was the Letter “X” with Greta Geiken winning. Game three was a Smiley Face with Greta Geiken as the winner. Game four was a Flag with Hazel Eastwood as the winner. Lorraine Fix won game five with Blackout.
On Friday, November 1st, games of 500 played. Leroy Weiser won 1st place with 3,580 points. Second place went to Milo Cobb with 3,160 points. Marlys Finzen won 3rd place with 2,840 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
