Opal and Hazel's Pizza is ready for October
As we catch our breath from our busiest month to date, we look forward to what September has in store for us.Only six total events for the month, two public and four private. Our awesome staff worked their tails off last month and they need a break. You might notice that we are not setting up during the Vinton Car Cruise on the 24th. If you are in town for this event and you are hungry, please stop at "Merchants Grilling" and tell them we sent you! The plan is to hang up our pizza aprons for the day and help them wherever we can.
42° North Winery to hold Taste and Take Event this Saturday
This Saturday should be a beautiful day for a Taste and Take event at 42° North Winery. The winery will be open on Saturday, September 3 & September 10 from 1-4:00 p.m. for our Taste and Take event..The winery will have available:Petite Pearl which is a dry red at $18 a bottle. The $16 bottles are: Tatanka - a dry red blend Hootie - a dry whiteDog Days - which is a semi-sweet/off dry Blowfish - which is a semi-sweet.

Petersen Attends National Policy Trip
By Samantha Petersen, Benton County Farm Bureau Vice President-I was able to travel to Washington DC to join several representatives of Iowa Farm Bureau for the 2022 National Policy Trip. We had an excellent trip which included the opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Ashley Hinson, Senator Chuck Grassley, and Senator Joni Ernst to express Iowa Farm Bureau’s positions on key issues that could affect us here at home and on our farms. Fareway Round Up for Variety Raises more than $173,000 for Children in Need
Fareway Stores, Inc. partnered with Variety - the Children’s Charity to conduct the sixth annual Round Up at
the register in July at all 131 store locations, raising a total of $173,590.76 for Variety – the Children’s Charity.
