  A four hour course for Iowans to obtain their Permit to Carry Weapons has been scheduled in the area.  The course is only four hours in length and covers handgun safety, gun handling, carry options and Iowa and Federal laws.

Alliant Energy’s third wave of restoration crews are arriving in New York Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on weather. To date, approximately 205 Alliant Energy workers from Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota have responded to damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Alliant Energy crews heading to East Coast to assist in storm restoration

Alliant Energy has sent more than 100 employees to help people on the East Coast in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Crews left Iowa and Wisconsin on Sunday morning and are headed to Lake Katrine, NY.
