Sports : Hawkeye Comm. College Student-Athletes Shine on ICCAC Academic All-Region Team

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference has announced the Academic All-Region honorees for the fall 2024 semester, recognizing the outstanding academic achievements of student-athletes across Region 11.

To qualify, student-athletes must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieved either a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) or higher for First Team honors or between a 3.0 and 3.49 GPA for Second Team recognition. This semester, over 2,500 student-athletes were honored, including more than 1,600 First Team members and over 900 on the Second Team.

Hawkeye Community College saw 165 total student-athletes make the Academic All-Region list, with 105 earning First Team honors and 60 achieving Second Team recognition.

• Sports Shooting: 10 First Team | 10 Second Team

• Volleyball: 9 First Team | 4 Second Team

• Women's Bowling: 2 First Team

• Women's Soccer: 14 First Team | 7 Second Team

• Women's Track & Field: 2 First Team | 4 Second Team

• Women's Cross Country: 2 First Team

• Women's Golf: 1 First Team | 2 Second Team

• Softball: 10 First Team | 5 Second Team

• Women's Wrestling: 3 First Team | 6 Second Team
