Aldin Swanson takes the title!

TRAER -- The Vinton-Shellsburg Viking wrestlers kept up their hot streak Saturday. Coming on the heels of their double-dual meet sweep of Center Point-Urbana and Benton Community on Thursday, the Vikes won three individual titles, added three runner-up finishes and took second-place team honors at the North Tama Invitational.

Aldin Swanson won the 106-pound championship, while 132-pounder Damon Swenson and 138-pounder Brady Ortner picked up titles as well. 113-pounder Carter Lamont, 145-pounder Bryce Radeke and 285-pounder Caleb Rouse all added sivler medals to the totals, as the Vikings amassed 167 points, finishing just off the pace of team champion Hudson, who finished with 179.
