The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings had a heart-breaking end to their season Friday at Vinton, losing 4-3 to the Independence Mustangs.
The Mustangs, the home team for the game held in Vinton, rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the bottom of the seventh to win 4-3. They will return to Vinton Monday night to play Center Point-Urbana, which defeated Union 16-5, earlier Friday.
