Opinion : Letter to the Editor: Thank you to the Fair Board

Dear Editor,

Kudos to the Benton County Fair Board on a successful 2025 fair. Being on a volunteer fair board can not be an easy job. Everyone has opinions on what needs to be be done, without knowing all the facts.

It appears the board listened to public input and acted on it. The midway was at least twice the size of last year's with many new rides. In spite of rainy weather, the rodeo was very well attended.

Now the Fair along with county Cattlemen and Pork and Dairy Producer groups are doing fundraising to build a new building to house all three booths to include inside seating. It is my understanding it could also be used for other events.

Sounds to me like a good thing to support!
