Opinion : Letter to the Editor: Immigration/refugees and Communism

Historically the United States Government has stood tall for freedom and against totalitarian Communism. We are not helping the people of Cuba with their latest street demonstrations and rebellion? No further sanctions by our government or any help to the demonstrators. Now we know that the Biden Administration has ordered the U. S. Coast Guard to turn back any Cubans boating to Florida---- Hmmm! But the Southern U. S. Border remains open to now over 1,000,000 illegals crossing this year; most not vaccinated and perhaps as many as 25% showing symptoms of Covid. Also, there is little testing for the virus done as that would require treatment by the various destination cities who would be required to foot the bill and then be required to treat the positive cases. Taxpayer funds are used to transport the "captured?" Aliens willy nilly to interior parts unknown by the destination cities - until the plane lands or the bus arrives. We don't have a say - just write the check and be quiet.

Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has stated the Southern Border is under control and is not a crisis. Cuban refugees are not a crisis either except those who are attempting to escape from Communist Cuba. Secretary Myorkas is not capable of doing the job and should be impeached or removed! Vice President Harris assigned to head the border effort is incompetent at solving the problem and should be replaced. This is a case of BOHICA for the rest of us "bend over, here it comes again". Just pay up and shut up.
