Ronald Wayne Benson, age 68, of Vinton, Iowa, passed away at the Virginia Gay Hospital on Saturday, May 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

No services will be held at this time.

Ronald was born on June 13,1957, in Pueblo, Colorado. He was the son of the late William Covington and Joanne Benson. On August 25, 1984, Ronald married the love of his life, Mary Ann Hilleshiem.  

Those left to cherish Ronald's memory are Mary Benson of Vinton; his children Wayne Benson of Clutier, Anna (Tony) Escribano Tapia of Vinton and Tricia (Jeff) Sampson of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Kylee,Emily, Breanne and Shane Delay, Sydney Gilbert, and Hailey Swanson.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.
