Obituaries : Dolores Ann Johnson

Dolores Ann Johnson, 98, of Van Horne, IA passed away on March 2^nd, 2026.

A Mass service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Van Horne, IA) on Friday, March 6th at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Van Horne. A Visitation will be held prior to the service from 8:45 AM – 9:45 AM. A luncheon will be held at the Church following interment. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (405 4^thAve. Van Horne, IA 52346) or Windsor Manor Assisted Living in Vinton to purchase an item that residents can enjoy in memory of Dolores (1807 5^th Street Vinton, IA 52349).

Dolores was born on May 21^st, 1927 in Davenport, IA to Daniel “Osborne” and Ella O’Brien, and married Dean Dennison Johnson on December 29^th, 1948 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne, where she was a faithful parishioner for the entirety of her life. 

Dolores is survived by her children, Terri (Dave) Hinman, Matthew (Jill) Johnson, and Mark (Barb) Johnson. She is survived by her grandchildren, John Hinman, Jessica (Cameron) Hinman, Tim Hinman, Colin McNabb, Ryan (Matt) McNabb, Anna (Trent) Hanselmann, Sarah Johnson, Paul Johnson, Brynn Johnson, and Ellery Johnson. She is survived by her great grandchildren, Jack Hinman, Paisley McNabb, Cahri McCoy, Ryker McNabb, and Lennon Armitage. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dean Johnson, brothers, Fred O’Brien and Dan O’Brien, and daughters, Tracee Kirkpatrick and Tova McNabb.
