Ronald H. Lubben, 94, of La Porte City, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

Ron was born on February 8, 1932, in Manchester, to Harry G. and Gladys M. (Billhorn) Lubben. He attended Manchester High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy. Ron married Joyce A. Williams on October 11, 1957, in Waterloo; she preceded him in death on October 12, 2009.

Ron was a skilled woodworker and carpenter, owning his own carpentry business. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church-Jubilee and a lifetime member of the NRA.

He is also preceded in death by his parents.

Ron is survived by his children, Rick (Kris) Lubben of La Porte City and Cindy (Brian) Wright of Jenison, MI; sister, Carol (Jerry) Jensen of Independence; five grandchildren, Tyler Lubben, Andrea (Andrew) Pugh, Chas (Kim) VanHorn, Jaxon Wright, Katie (Oliver) Thompson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Family to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Locke in La Porte City, 606 East Main Street, La Porte City.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church-Jubilee, 12007 Jubilee Rd, La Porte City. An additional visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial to follow at Sawyer Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy.
