William Bart Flickinger, 85, died Friday, July 25, 2025 at Keystone Care Center in Keystone, IA.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Garrison Cemetery, A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the Garrison Fire Station, 205 N. Sycamore in Garrison.

Bart was born the son of W. T. "Bill" and Madge (Hildebrant) Flickinger on August 14, 1939.   Bart lived his entire life in Garrison Iowa.   He graduated with the class of 1958, Garrison High School.

Bart worked in his early years for his Dad at Flick Painting Company but for the majority of his life he worked his own trucking business, Flickinger Trucking.   

Bart was a proud volunteer fireman for the Garrison Fire Department for 50 years. 

Bart enjoyed spending time at his shop working on his truck and spending time with his many cats.  He also loved spending weekends at his cabin on Esmann Island in Guttenberg and boating on the Mississippi.  

Bart is survived by his two children, Shelly (Randy) Williams and Bret (Cora) Flickinger, both of Garrison; Grandchildren, Brent (Jenni) Flickinger and Garrett (Erica) Flickinger; Great Grandchildren: Briggs, Brighton, Bond and Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Madge Flickinger; sister, Tamara Flickinger and great grandson, Banks Flickinger.
