Obituaries : Brenda J. Toney

Brenda J. Toney, 68, of Newhall, IA passed away after a long illness on July 6, 2025 at her home.

Brenda was born on April 10, 1957 in Marengo, IA, the daughter of Margaret (Gunderson) and Cleo Toney. She was a hard-working café owner with her long-time friend Clark Johnston. Brenda took pride in providing great food and throwing lavish birthday and fourth of July parties for friends and family to come together. It brought her great joy to make children happy, particularly Liam Mosher.

If Brenda wasn't home watching court tv or making her yard full of beautiful flowers she'd be sitting at the 777 game at the casino.
Brenda is survived by her siblings, Shirley Bloome of Montrose, IA, Bob Toney, Jeanne Moore, Janice Hinkel all of Belle Plaine, IA; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins' family and friends. She was preceded in death by her dog, Lover.

Per Brenda's wishes cremation will take place with inurnment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service is assisting the family in their time of need.
