Jeanette Ruth Wilson, 87, of Walker, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2024, at her home. The family will greet friends from 12:30 - 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Mike Schultz officiating. Burial will take place at Lafayette Cemetery in Alburnett, Iowa.

Jeanette was born on July 23, 1936, in Avoca, Iowa, the daughter of Harry William and Evelyn Eucille (Bauer) Fennern. She graduated from high school in Garrison, Iowa. On June 29, 1956, Jeanette was united in marriage to William "Bill" James Wilson in Marion. Jeanette was easygoing, optimistic, and the nicest person you'll ever meet. She loved the outdoors, including camping, fishing, daily walks with her dog, and tending to and keeping a meticulous yard full of flowers. Jeanette loved the Iowa Hawkeyes but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jeanette is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Bill (Lois) Wilson of Lisbon, Iowa, Cindy (RJ) Carson of Marion, and Rick Wilson (Donna Novak) of Toddville, Iowa; grandchildren, Holly Carson (Juan Guerrero), Matt (Carolyn) Wilson, Greg (Sara) Carson, Debra Wilson, Emily (Nick) Beck, Cailey (Bryan) Anderson, Mike (Amy) Novak, and Hunter Novak; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Diane) Fennern of Cedar Rapids, Joan Abernathy of Vinton, Iowa, Mary (Jerry) Schoettmer of Atkins, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wilson; her parents, Harry and Evelyn Fennern; siblings, Robert, Lila, Jack, Marvin, Richard, and Jon Fennern.
