Obituaries : Linda Lee Moore

Linda Lee Moore, 80, of La Porte City, passed away on Wednesday, November 15th at ABCM Rehabilitation Center, in Independence.

Linda was born on July 19, 1943, in Waterloo, Iowa, to her parents Roy and Thelma (Goudy) Fritz. She grew up in La Porte City and after high school, she attended beauty school, where she obtained her cosmetologist license. She owned and operated Linda's Beauty Shop in La Porte City, for many years.

She was a member of the La Porte City American Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her pet cats, weaving on her loom, and tending to her flower beds.

Linda is survived by her sons Royce (Candy) Moore and Tracy (Cyndi) Moore, both of La Porte City; grandsons Thomas (Megan) Moore of Eldridge, IA, and Gavin Moore of La Porte City; numerous great-grandchildren; her cat, Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Tessa Moore.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 20th at 10:00 AM at Westview Cemetery in La Porte City. Memorials may be directed to the family. Locke at La Porte City is caring for Linda and her family.
