Eugene Grant Dick II, 85, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed from this life on October 5, 2023 after a long battle with Alheizmers.

He was known as Grant to everyone who knew him. He was born August 20, 1938, in Drumwright, Oklahoma.After graduation from high school in Winfield, Kansas, he joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1957 to 1962.He married Dona Dobson in 1962 and they settled in Anthony Kansas and started a family. After retirement they lived in Ponder, Texas and Vinton, Iowa before moving to Edmond Oklahoma.Grant is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dona of Oklahoma and their children: Gregory (Caroline) of Iowa; Kevan (Christine) of Texas; and Tamatha (Blake Lister) of Oklahoma. He leaves behind a legacy of six grandchildren: Nathan Hollis of Pennsylvania; Zachary Anderson (Taryne) of Kansas; Bradley Dick (Breanna) of Texas; Jacklynn Anderson of Oklahoma; Katherine Shimkat (Eddie) of Iowa; Alexander Dick of Iowa and five great-grandchildren: Eliasen Shearer, Riley Dick, Josslynn Anderson, Maria Anderson, and Trenton Dick.He is also survived by his siblings: Emma Ruth Dick Clark of Arizona; Elizabeth Brady of Colorado and William "Bill" Dick of Texas. Grant is preceded in death by his father Eugene "Gene" Grant Dick, and his mother, Geneva Wells Dick. A cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside service will be held later for the family.

Grant's military service and dedicated career in public service exemplifies his commitment to his country and community. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication and his impact on the lives he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
