Eleanora M. "Nora" Beahr, 100, of La Porte City, formerly Waterloo, died on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the La Porte City Specialty Care at La Porte City.
Nora was born on August 9, 1923, in Oelwein, IA, the daughter of Tom and Marie "Fern" Jacoby Boleyn. She married George Allen Beahr in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1979.
She worked as an inspector for Chamberlain Manufacturing. Nora enjoyed cooking, baking rhubarb cake, shopping, camping, and fishing.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Linda) Beahr of Des Moines and Richard "Dick" (Sylvia) Beaher of Cedar Falls; brothers, Roger Boleyn of Cedar Rapids and Sidney Boleyn of Oelwein; sister, Judy Walker of Cedar Rapids; 9 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dwayne, Ralph, and Tommie Boleyn; and sisters, Virginia Braley, Lillian Welsh, Mildred Braley, and Shirley Milligan.
Services: 11:00 AM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park, Waterloo.
Visitation: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park, Waterloo.
Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.
