Earlene (Knapp) Stueck, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Atkins with Rev. Douglas Woltemath officiating. Interment will be held at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday, at the church in Atkins. A memorial fund has been established for St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

Earlene was born on December 24, 1940 in Weir, Kansas, the daughter of George and Ruth (Woods) Knapp. She graduated from Atkins High School with the class of 1958. On November 29, 1959, she was united in marriage to Eldon Stueck at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne.

Earlene was a devoted member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church and the L.W.M.L. In her younger years, she worked at Bishop's in Cedar Rapids and later worked with Eldon at Sam's Club. She was a woman of many talents, including quilting, sewing and tending to her garden. She truly loved the farm that she and Eldon shared along with their family. Family, especially her grandchildren, was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her children, Allen (Connie) Stueck of Atkins, Andrea (Kevin) Nolan of Van Horne, Angela (Mark) Sturtz of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Danielle Rouse, Brianna Cannady, Katie McNamara, Brent Stueck, Olivia Nolan, Erin Horst, Jesse Sturtz and Jake Sturtz; and eight great grandchildren, Gabe Rouse, Kamden Rouse, Landon Rouse Graham Cannady, Nolan McNamara, Teagan Stueck, Terron Stueck, and Reagan McNamara; two sisters, Linda Stark, and Mary (Steve) Noeller, all of Marion; and her brother-in-law Bob Johnson of Newhall.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eldon in 2018; infant sister Georgia Ruth; and her 2 sisters, Arlene Johnson, and Sandra Vetter.
