Zelda Mae Koser, 97, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cedar Rapids.
Private graveside services will be held. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home of Vinton is assisting Zelda's family.
Zelda was born February 1, 1925 in rural Mt. Auburn, the daughter of Herman and Leta Mae (Wright) Ohrt. She was a 1945 graduate of Mt. Auburn High School. On February 1, 1950, she married Merle Koser in Cedar Rapids.
When Zelda had free time from her homemaking skills, she enjoyed any avenue of socializing from square dancing with Merle to getting all dressed up in her "finery" for dinner.
Zelda is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Zelda was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Merle; brothers: Harold, Bob and Don Ohrt; and sisters: Margaret Sheffler and Ruth Walker.
