Linda was born on September 18, 1948 in Vinton, the daughter of Donald and Lily (Anderson) Vogt. She attended school in Vinton. On June 24, 1967, Linda was united in marriage to Albert "Rusty" Thomsen. Joining Rusty in his military career, Linda spent over 20 years as a military wife. The couple then returned to Vinton where they made their home the last 33 years. While taking care of their home and grandchildren, Linda also worked for ten years as a CNA and med tech at the Vinton Lutheran Home and then the Cedar Valley Ranch.

Family was the most important aspect of Linda's life. Whether her time was spent shopping with her sister's, taking care of grandchildren, enjoying family gatherings or just being home, Linda was in the happiest element of her life.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rusty; daughter, Annette Thomsen (Ronald Lamphier); son, Tony (Deanne) Thomsen; five grandchildren: Patrick, Alex, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Madason; sisters: Donna (John) Watson and Barbara (Richie) Hill; and brother, Mark (Lisa) Vogt.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
