Obituaries : Dennis L. Streeter

Dennis L. Streeter, 73, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 29, 2021 at his residence in Brandon, IA.

A celebration of Denny's life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Brandon Community Center in Brandon. Graveside services will be held this spring at the Brandon Cemetery.

Dennis was born December 19, 1947 at Independence, IA, the son of Roy and Kathryn (Young) Streeter. He attended school in Independence. Dennis proudly served in the US Army where his occupation was a vehicle/auto mechanic. Dennis was employed for twelve years in maintenance at John Deere and then opened his own auto repair shop in Brandon. Not only did Dennis provide repair services for many, his shop also became the "manly hub" of Brandon.

In his leisure time, Dennis enjoyed racing and tinkering with/building cars.

Dennis is survived by two brothers: Stephen Streeter of Madera, CA and Craig (Vicki) Streeter of Vinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Streeter; sister, Linda Streeter; and sister-in-law, Sandy Streeter.

A memorial fund has been established.
