Steven Francis "Bod" Boddicker, 72, died Saturday, November 6, 2021, at his brother's Vinton home with family by his side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton, Iowa, with Father Jim Brokman as celebrant. A visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church as well. Private family interment will be later.

Steven Francis Boddicker was born September 10, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, to Virgil and Nancy (Burkhart) Boddicker. Steve graduated from Washington High School in Vinton. He attended Area 10 and the University of Northern Iowa earning a bachelor's degree. Upon graduation, Steven served in the United States Army for three years.

Steven had a career in Tuck Pointing that spanned over 45 years. In addition to his career in tuckpointing, Steve worked as a substitute teacher in the Union Community School District and Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District. Steve was a member of the Vinton Country Club and Lions Club.

Steven enjoyed spending his leisure time playing cards, fishing, golfing, hunting, and mushrooming. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Steve's survived by his children, Carrie (Michael Saunders) Boddicker, Christopher (Kourtney) Boddicker; his grandchildren Makayla and Kolton Boddicker; brothers David (Diane) Boddicker and Donald (Renee Smalley) Boddicker and brother-in-law Marshall Hilmer.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jackie Hilmer.
