News : Shellsburg to add Music Garden

The first of the additional instruments for the upcoming Kid's Music Garden has been sponsored. Many thanks to Cranky Hank's Pizza for sponsoring the Single Drum Table. There's room for another single drum, as well as the other two instruments shown. Who's next?

As many of you may have seen the Shellsburg Area Community Group has succeeded in receiving a grant for some park improvements. Please read the following message from SACG

The coming Music Garden in City Park was funded largely with a grant, and had to be kept to a reasonable amount to increase the chances of being accepted. However, there is more that can be done. We've selected three additional instruments that could be added, that are musically compatible and affordable. We have until February 1 to add to our order, so if you think you or your family or your business would like to contribute to making the arts available in our parks, here's your chance to sponsor an instrument. We are looking for one sponsor for each instrument. Your sponsorship would be represented with a small plaque on the instrument. We are excited to bring the arts to the parks and would welcome your involvement.
