It was a chilly day for the hunt this year, but no one under 5 foot tall noticed.   I have to admit that I love watching the itty bitty kiddos at the Easter Egg Hunts. I have yet to figure out why a preschooler will run through hundreds of eggs lying on the ground in front of them to get to a specific egg on the perimeter, but they do. And it makes me smile.

The little girls arrive in tutus and pretty headbands and bows while moms and dads and grandparent are snapping photos of their little ones to remember the day. Most of the baskets are half as big as the children in the itty bitty section but they manage!

Vinton Kiwanis, as usual, pulled off a feat that is done so well each year. Organizing everyone into their specific sections, the kids and parents line up waiting for the horn to sound so they can start collecting.

What took hours to organize and plan is completely cleaned up in minutes. The children are thrilled, the adults are smiling and it's the official start to the Easter weekend.

Here's just a snippet of the fun in photos.

Hats off to our Vinton Kiwanis, thanks for all that you do for our area children, you really are some of the best folks!
