If you have been chosen to receive a tree through the Vinton Lions Club, the distribution of the trees is this Saturday, June 5th at the Vinton Shellsburg High School Parking lot between 8 am and noon. When you drive up, a volunteer will be available to take your name and will have you draw a number that is assigned to one of the trees on the parking lot. We will have you pull forward to the area your tree is located, a volunteer will take the number and help load your tree. Planting and care instructions will be provided and also attached in this article. 48 trees are being distributed, so please follow traffic markers and have patience for pick-up if you plan to arrive at 8am. Should be a very quick process.
Vinton Lions Club invites the community to help us celebrate our 100 Years of Service on July 6, 2021 from 5-8PM at Celebration Park. The Vinton Lion's concessions trailer will have their first Tenderloin Tuesday with half priced menu items and FREE SNO-CONES and CAKE. The Vinton Community Band will provide entertainment. Children's activities are being planned which include Tom Pingenot's amazing "Bubbler" skills! Bring a lawn chair and come celebrate with us!
