October 6 - Jonathan E. Shuffield - 18 - Fontanelle - Charged with Credit Card Forgery (Aggravated Misdemeanor), Theft 3rd Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor). Theft 5th Degree (Simple Misdemeanor), and Providing a Controlled Substance to a Minor (Class "B" Felony).

September 29 - A 15 year old male was referred to Juvenile probation for Assault While Displaying a Weapon (Aggravated Misdemeanor).

A 15 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Credit Card Forgery (Aggravated Misdemeanor), Theft 3rd Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and Theft 5th Degree (Simple MisDemeanor)

A 17 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Credit Card Forgery (Aggravated Misdemeanor) Theft 3rd Degree (Aggravated Misdeameanor)

A 17 year old male was referred to juvenile probation for Driving While Barred (Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Serious Misdemeanor)

11 Citations were issued in October. Five were for moving violations, two for non-moving violations, one for open container-passenger, one for minor using tobacco - 1st offense, one for dog at large and one for urinating in public.

35 written warnings were issued in October. Six were for moving violations and 29 for non-moving violations.

Eight state reportable traffic accidents were investigated in October. Seven citations were issued as a result of these investigations.

For the month of October, 166 complaints/calls for service were handled by the Vinton Police Department.
