Health and Fitness : UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s Health Care Foundation Offer Rural Healthcare Grant

UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s Health Care Foundation is accepting applications for its Rural Healthcare Grant through Mon., May 11 at 3 p.m. The grant provides matching funds towards health care services for rural residents living in Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Delaware, Iowa, northern Johnson, Jones and Linn counties. Applicants may request up to $6,000.

St. Luke’s Health Care Foundation Rural Healthcare Grant can help fund:

• Equipment for emergency care in the pre-hospital environment
• Training for emergency personnel to gain or enhance their skills
• Basic life support training equipment such as hands-only CPR materials and Little Anne manikins
• Mileage reimbursement for transportation programs

Eligible entities include:

• Ambulance Services
• Paramedics
• Fire and Rescue Departments
• Transportation Programs
• First Responder Organizations

Since 1980, St. Luke’s Health Care Foundation’s Rural Healthcare Grant has provided matching funds towards health care services for rural residents.
