Call to Order
President Rob Levis called the regular meeting to order at 5:16 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room.
Roll Call / Pledge of Allegiance
Rob Levis, Sue Gates, Kathy Van Steenhuyse, Jake Fish, Becky Williams, Tom Burke,
Kyle Koeppen, Superintendent, and Brenda Barkdoll, Board Secretary/Treasurer were present with the
exception of Mike Timmermans.
Receive Visitor/Audience Comments
There were no visitor/audience comments.
Superintendent Reports
Superintendent Koeppen reported on open enrollment, summer school, buildings & grounds, transportation, technology, Summer Meal Program, insurance report, School Board Election, and the schedule.
Board Reports/Requests
Tom Burke shared information from a Post Prom meeting he attended.
Sue Gates shared information from attending the Handbook Committee meeting.
Kathy Van Steenhuyse shared legislative information.
General Business of the Board
Consent Items
1077. It was moved by Fish and seconded by Burke to accept the consent items as presented. Motion carried 6/0.
Set Meal and 3-Year-Old Preschool Prices for 2021-22
1078. It was moved by Williams and seconded by Gates to approve the suggested preschool tuition and meal charges as presented. Motion carried 6/0.
Legislative Priorities & Resolutions
1079. It was moved by Kathy Van Steenhuyse and seconded by Fish to submit Preschool Funding,
Dropout/At-Risk funding, Mental Health Supports and Teacher Recruitment/Licensure and if possible Special Education Funding and Local Control as our district's priorities for legislative action during the 2022 session. Motion carried 6/0.
Correspondence Items/Reports
Three Rivers Insurance annual review - Outline of Coverages
Donation to students in need fund from Heart of Mary Cluster of St. Mary's Church
