Government : V-S COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT - REGISTRATION & FEES

Registration for all district students can be completed on-line starting July 19, 2021. Convenience fee waived through August 22, 2021. Visit our website at www.vscsd.org. If you need assistance you may go to the buildings or call starting August 9th, 8:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. & 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m., Monday - Friday.

HS Students New to the Vinton-Shellsburg District may contact the guidance office (436-5704) beginning August 9th to schedule an appointment for registration with their counselor. Appointments will be scheduled between Aug. 16th to 20th so that all new students can be enrolled in their courses by the first day of school (Aug. 23rd).

MS Students New to the Vinton-Shellsburg District should come to the building after August 9th to begin the process of registering.

Tilford Elementary Students (Vinton) New to the Vinton-Shellsburg District kindergarten and preschool student will receive a letter in the mail with instructions on how to register online. All others can come to the building after August 9th to begin the process of registering.

Shellsburg Elementary Students New to the Vinton-Shellsburg District should come to the building after August 9th to begin the process of registering.

VARIED CLASS SCHEDULES FOR AUGUST 23RD

Vinton-Shellsburg Grade 1-12 students will have classes August 23rd but will be on a 2-hour early dismissal schedule. August 24th will also be a 2-hour early dismissal.

Kindergarten students' first day is August 24th. A parent teacher conference will be held prior to August 24th. Information to schedule your conference will be available soon. Preschool starts August 25th.

The free and reduced price application is still needed by the school for other programs, such as P-EBT and reduced or free school fees.

Vinton-Shellsburg Schools will be hosting an in-person day on July 26th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm at the district Central Office (1502 C Avenue, Vinton, IA) for those families who wish to apply to qualify for free or reduced meal/textbook costs.
