In Depth: Possible Re-opening of the Palace Date Set

OK, before I give you the fun news - a quick [upd]: NO POPCORN THIS FRIDAY NIGHT! HOWEVER, we WILL be serving CURBSIDE POPCORN on SATURDAY and SUNDAY, June 6 & 7. ANNND! We will also be serving LEMON SHAKES! HOURS on SATURDAY and SUNDAY: 6-8 PMWe will be properly gloved and masked, and ready to quench your thirst and satisfy your Palace Popcorn craving for the week.

Vinton Palace to Continue Popcorn Sales, but Movies are on hold

At this point the managers and trustees do not believe it is financially feasible for us to open at 50% capacity with 6-foot spacing, due to the cost of content. Our other concern is available movies, as studios have already streamed their spring and early summer offerings. The online site we use to view upcoming content currently shows no new film release dates until July 17.

Palace updates Concession Area

Allan Merchant smoothing out the cement in the Palace concession area as the Palace updates When you see a cement truck parked in front of the Palace Theater, you know the movie isn't showing. Progress is being made on the new concession area at the Palace. Allan Merchant was in the beginning stages of repairing the floor for the new concession area. According to the Palace, demolition took place in just five hours a week ago Saturday. "This week Edwards Plumbing removed cement for floor sinks and roughed in plumbing, Allan Merchant replaced cement, and Mike Morrow, with the expert assistance of his father, Dave, began framing the new concession stand.

Caberet Postponed

In an effort to do our part in protecting our school-community’s health, we have decided to postpone tonight’s Cabaret. We do this reluctantly and know that many were looking forward to the event. While we do not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Benton County, we also know we would have many attendees from outside the school district and we know the spread is happening quickly in Iowa.

In Depth: Sonic The Hedgehog

Tomorrow am (Saturday, March 7) our demolition crew will begin the first stage of our 20th Birthday Concession Stand Remodel!We WILL remain open during the project, however, the right side of the lobby will no longer be accessible until the work is complete. We will be serving limited concessions on the stage - popcorn, candy, and bottled and canned drinks.

Cast of Tongue Twisted will leave you chuckling

Garrett Ryan as William Shakespeare and Rich Hainstock the teacher Mr. Moses Roses in Tongue Twisted With a cast of 21 actors and actresses, children and adults, and in between, the Wolf Creek Players presented a delightful play at the Union Middle School auditorium."Tongue Twisted" is a play with many twists, well tongue twists, that makes the audience want to try to repeat the tongue twisters along with the cast, while rooting for the cast as they say their tongue twisting lines.

Tongue Twisters to be presented by The Wolf Creek Players March 6-8 in Dysart

The Wolf Creek Players present the spoof Tongue Twisters on the stage at the Union Middle School in Dysart from March 6th until the 8th.  Showtimes are 7 PM on Friday and Saturday and 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday.  Come and see how well the three teams of middle school students have mastered their tongue twisters.  Warning, your sides
