Great Plains Region - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) proudly announces the Freedom 250: Patriot Pitch Competition, a national celebration of 250 years of American free enterprise and the small businesses that drive innovation, create jobs, and generate economic growth. This highly anticipated event spotlights high-potential small businesses competing for a share of a $1 million cash prize pool, generously donated by Clover Network, Inc. (Clover), with a top grand prize of $400,000. "This competition is a powerful showcase proving that American economic strength is built daily by dedicated small business owners—the true bedrock of our national prosperity," said Brad Zaun, SBA Great Plains Regional Administrator.
The top 10 semifinalists will be announced the week of July 4, 2026, during the Great American State Fair. From there, the top five finalists will be invited to participate in a live pitch competition in Washington, D.C., later this year. The finals will feature high-energy pitches, prominent speakers, a supplier matchmaking expo, and critical networking opportunities with investors and industry leaders.
