The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes picked up a key road split in WaMaC conference softball action Monday night.
The Vikettes (12-11) took the opener from the Mustangs, 7-2, then dropped then nightcap, 4-1. Sophomore Lindsey Noren pitched a complete game for V-S. Game stats were not available this morning. A complete game story will appear later. The Vikettes play host to Maquoketa Wednesday and Iowa Valley Thursday. Both nights will be JV/varsity twinbills, beginning at 6 p.m.
