Conditions were cold when the meet started at 9 a.m. with ice on the puddles. But the sunshine warmed the course and players as the morning progressed. Overall I was pleased with the team’s efforts. Each golfer from Vinton-Shellsburg was awarded a medal for our team’s second place finish. In addition Natalie Ketchen received a medal for finishing 7th overall with a 95 and Erin Randall received a medal for 8th with her 96. Cara Hach just missed receiving an individual medal. We will be working on improving our putting which caused us some problems Saturday.

Our team’s record is now 13 – 1.

Varsity will travel to Manchester Monday for the annual West Delaware tournament. Friday V-S will host our only Vinton home meet on Friday with Williamsburg, West Delaware and Independence.
