Sports : Wrestling labor auction raises $7,700

Vinton-Shellsburg wrestlers raised $7,700 during their annual labor auction Thursday evening. Area residents and businesses bid on the services of the wrestlers and managers, with Duane Johnson again serving as auctioneer.

The fund-raiser will help cover the cost of equipment, wrestling camp and other expenses of the program.

The young Viking wrestlers also were introduced to the crowd.
