Sports : Senior Night: Class of 2012 athletes, band members honored

Senior Viking Colton Draker and his parents joined the Senior Night tradition.

FFA members held a tailgate party before the game and later tossed T-shirts to the crowd.

Sophomore uniforms were mud-covered by the end of the game on Friday.

The Vinton-Shellsburg football season came to an end with Friday' s home loss to Crestwood, 31-14.

The game took place in the rain, and the field was already muddy by the start of the varsity game, leaving many uniforms covered with mud by the end of the game.

The Vikings end the season 3-6. Senior athletes and band members were introduced, along with their parents, before the varsity game.
